Got up at 6:00 and went to the kitchen. Found 2 people sleeping on
the floor. Later they told me they arrived at midnight. Unbelievable for me to
walk that muddy path in the rain at night. Started 7:30. It rained consistently
today and the path got even muddier. Average walk time 3 hours 5-6km downhill
took me 3 hours 45 minutes. After the mountain path, the trail turned in to an
easy-walking unsealed farm road. There was no car passing by, just kept going my way. At midday, looked
around a place for lunch in a driving rain and found a wooden structure in a
place for farm materials for shelter. Blister at left heel got worse and
struggled to carry on - but managed my way to walk a long distance. At 16:30
found a nice grass land for camping with a large puddle nearby. It was a bit
early to stop, but decided to pitch a tent here. Did not see anyone since
having left the hut in the morning today. Walked 29km today.
6:00に起きて小屋のキッチンへ出て行ったら2人が床で寝ていた。後で話を聞くと、何と昨夜12:00頃到着したとか。この泥道を雨の中、真夜中に歩いてくるなんて自分には考えられない。7:30に出発。雨は今日も1日降り続き、道はさらにドロドロになっており、標準歩行時間3時間とある5-6kmの主に降り中心の道に3時間45分もかかってしまった。しかしその後は主に歩きやすい未舗装の農道が中心で、車の往来も全くなく黙々と歩く。昼頃、横殴りの雨で食事場所に困っていると、ちょうど牧場の資材置き場のような所に木の建造物があったので場所を借りた。左かかとの靴ずれが悪化し足を引きずりながらだったが、道のりは捗った。16:30頃キャンプに手頃な草地があり、近くに濁ってはいるが大きな水溜りもあったので、少し早いがテントを張る。今日は朝、小屋を出て以来誰にも会わなかった。本日の歩行29km。
