The longest walk I've ever
done before having walked TA was North West Circuit (125km) in Stewart Island for 10 days in May
2015. Thinking of the big 2 months I'm planning to walk the North Island this
time, it does not sound a big deal. However, it was tough and fantastic
experience I remember very fondly. One of highlights was seeing Kiwis in a
broad day light.
TAを歩く以前での最長期間のトレッキングは、スチュワート島にあるノースウエスト・サーキットの10日間。今回北島縦断にかける予定の2か月間には比べるべくもありませんが、厳しいながらも心に残る素晴らしい体験を数多くすることができました。中でも明るい日中に出会った、本来夜行性のキーウィたちとの遭遇は、ハイライトの一つです。
