Intercity bus up to Kaitaia from Auckland and experienced my first hitchhike in my life and had 2 rides. A Kiwi man Carl, who has walked TA
last year, dropped me off at the location good to get a ride. And then a mother
and her daughter, who gave a TA walker a ride before, dropped me off at
Pukenui Holiday Park. At the campsite, camper van travellers gave me a piece
of catch of the day (snapper), and got it fried at the near fish & chips
shop.
インターシティ・バスでオークランドからカイタイアへ移動後、人生初のヒッチハイクを体験。昨年TAを歩いたばかりのNZ人男性・カールがヒッチハイクしやすい場所まで乗せてくれて、その後、以前TAトレッカーを乗せたことのある母娘がプケヌイ・ホリデー・パークまで乗せてくれた。キャンプ場では、キャンピングカーの旅行者が今日釣ったばかりのタイの切り身をくれたので、近所のテイク・アウェイ（テイクアウト）の店でフィッシュ・アンド・チップスにしてもらった。
Next day, thumbed a ride again at 9:15am. Got a ride by Kiwi & US couple
who stayed at the same holiday park. They were only driving up to a beach
nearby, but kindly drove up to Cape Reinga for me! Started to walk TA! Tide was low and enjoyed a comfy walk on the beach. Dropped in Cape Maria van Dieman
on his way to Twilight Beach campsite. Walked 12+4km.
翌朝9:15ヒッチハイク開始。昨晩、同じホリデー・パークに滞在していたNZ人とアメリカ人カップルに拾われる。二人は近場のビーチまでドライブする予定だったが、親切なことにレインガ岬まで連れて行ってくれた。TAトレッキングのスタート！引き潮だったので浜辺を歩くのに快適で、マリア・ヴァン・ダイマン岬までの脇道も行ってみた。トワイライト・ビーチキャンプ場泊。歩行距離12+4km。
